Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Truck Dispatcher located in Hoffman Estates, IL, with the flexibility to work from home part-time. The Truck Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling deliveries, monitoring real-time shipment status, managing driver communication, and ensuring compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and safety regulations. Responsibilities include responding to delivery inquiries, resolving logistics issues promptly, maintaining load documentation, and ensuring timely updates to customers and stakeholders. Collaboration with drivers, clients, and internal teams to uphold top-tier service levels is a key aspect of this role.

Qualifications

-Proven experience in logistics coordination, truck dispatching, or transportation planning
-Familiarity with DOT, FMCSA regulations, and HazMat compliance standards
-Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking tools, and EDI platforms
-Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage driver interactions and provide updates to clients effectively
-Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in time-sensitive situations
-Proficiency in organizing and managing shipping documentation, compliance tracking, and exception management
-Ability to work independently and adapt to a hybrid work environment
-Experience in the transportation industry is highly desirable. A high school diploma is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
-Speaking Polish, Ukrainian, Lithuanian or Serbian is preferred.
