Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager/Freight Broker with a proven track record working in a brokerage company, who understands the nuances of collaborating with freight forwarders in the U.S. market
The ideal candidate is an independent, results-driven professional who understands the dynamics of the transportation market, pricing strategies, and operational processes within a brokerage environment. This role involves coordinating shipments, managing client needs, and resolving any challenges that arise during transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieving assigned targets and contributing to the company’s goals.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Managing client relationships through regular communication to understand their needs, addressing their inquiries, and providing updates on delivery statuses and other logistics operations.
- Communicating with carriers and identifying the most suitable and reliable carrier for each shipment.
- Organizing and coordinating transportation routes efficiently, ensuring timely updates on active shipments, and minimizing costs and travel time.
- Handling tasks related to carrier sourcing, negotiating terms and prices, preparing and sending client offers, and performing administrative duties
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Freight Broker in a brokerage company
- Demonstrated experience working with freight forwarders
- Strong knowledge of the U.S. transportation market and pricing dynamics
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite
